Our purpose

Quality, accuracy, and security.

Eddie J. Ward built the first automated fuel management system at the request of the City of San Antonio, and the company has been refining it ever since.

Every Ward system is built for the field, from sub-zero municipal yards to coastal fueling sites, controlling access from the storage tank to the vehicle and recording every transaction automatically.

Hardware is designed and manufactured in San Antonio, Texas, and SimplyFuel software is hosted by Ward, so one team is accountable for the whole system.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers for fleet buyers.

Ask a question

Which markets does Ward serve?

Government entities, utilities, transit agencies, airports, terminals and ports, industrial operations, and delivery and distribution fleets. Systems are designed and built in San Antonio, Texas and installed across the United States.

Do you provide custom systems or standard products?

Both. The Fuel Control Terminal and SimplyFuel are standard products, configured to each site: number of hoses, fuel types, tank sensors, EV chargers, and how vehicles identify themselves.

Can you handle installation and commissioning?

Yes. Ward and its channel partners cover sales, installation, and service nationwide, and technicians are certified on Fuel Control Terminals so equipment warranties stay intact.

Can we purchase through a cooperative contract?

Yes. Ward holds a Sourcewell awarded contract, which many public agencies use to purchase without running a separate competitive solicitation.

Do you integrate with existing equipment and software?

Yes. SimplyFuel connects to maintenance and accounting systems, and works with Geotab and Samsara telematics as well as the CANceiver reading vehicle data directly.

What standards and certifications does Ward hold?

Ward is ISNetworld compliant and a member of NAFA and PEI. Fuel Control Terminals are built for outdoor fuel-island service, and installation follows the applicable fire, electrical and environmental codes at each site. Certified FCT training is required for technicians who service the hardware.
